Your wonderful article on your 7th grade experiences contained a shock for me. The new girl, Claire Richards, who played Pickin Paw Paws was much later my piano teacher at the University of Illinois. She was much more than my piano teacher – she saved my life, she gave me my life. She was just about the most important person ion the world to me.
